MINISTERIAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (MIP)
The Ministerial Internship Program (MIP) is mandated by the General Assembly of the Church of God as a requirement for all Exhorters before advancing to the rank of Ordained Minister. The purpose of the MIP is to “more adequately insure the formation of proper ministerial attitudes, and to offer a structured approach to practical ministerial training.” It is a nine month program consisting of monthly seminars for both minister and spouse, individual study, and a ministry practicum under the mentorship of a supervising pastor to whom the intern is assigned.

The seminars are scheduled for the following dates monthly until May 2010:
October 3, 2009, November 7, 2009, December 5, 2009, January 9, 2010, February 6, 2010, March 6, 2010, April 10, 2010, May 1, 2010 at Florence-Quest Community Church.

Deadline for MIP application for Fall 2010 is May 31, 2010.
The application form may be downloaded and the completed form, with the $15.00 application fee, should be mailed to the Mississippi Church of God State Office, 4655 Terry Road, Jackson, MS 39212.

Upon completion of MIP, one can apply for Ordained Minister License.
